1. A process for preparing an enzyme electrode consisting essentially of the steps of:

  • (a) applying an albumin solution containing 0.05 to 0.5% by weight of a multifunctional aldehyde onto the surface of an electroconductive substrate to form a coat comprised of said solution,(b) maintaining the atmospheric temperature of 0°

    C. to 20°

    C. to thereby form a permselective crosslinked albumin layer, and(c) applying a solution containing a hydrogen peroxide productive oxidase and greater than 0 up to 0.5% by weight of a multifunctional aldehyde onto the surface of the above permselective crosslinked albumin layer to form a hydrogen peroxide productive oxidase containing layer thereon.
