1. A contact lens having no water absorbability consisting of a polymer comprising, as an essential component, at least one fluorine-containing monomer represented by the general formula ##STR14## wherein R1 and R2 are independently H or CH3 and may be the same or different, l is an integer of 1-5, m is an integer of 1-2, n is an integer of 4-10, p is an integer of 8 or more, q is an integer of 0 or more, and p+q=2n+1.

Abstract
The contact lens of the present invention consisting of a polymer comprising, as an essential component, at least one fluorine-containing monomer represented by the general formula ##STR1## (R1 and R2 are independently H or CH3 and may be the same or different, l is an integer of 1-5, m is an integer of 1-2, n is an integer of 4-10, p is an integer of 8 or more, q is an integer of 0 or more, and p+q=2n+1), has high transparency, improved oxygen permeability, flexibility, hydrophilicity and no water absorbability.
