Analysis by sensor placement in recprocating flow
First Claim
1. A method of analyzing a fluid sample to determine an analyte content thereof, said method comprising flowing said sample to a first chemical reactor and then to a second chemical reactor and reciprocating said sample between said first and second chemical reactor, and sensing the presence of said analytes conversion by said reactors into a detectable substance, said sensing carried out at a point in the flowpath of said fluid between said first and second chemical reactor.

Abstract
A method and apparatus for analyzing a sample to determine an analyte content has a sensor for sensing the analyte positioned between a first and second transducer. The analyte or derivatives thereof are reciprocated between the first and second transducer to reciprocate at the sensor and allow instantaneous sensing of an indication of the analyte'"'"'s presence at a point between the first and second transducer. Rapid analysis can be carried out in many different systems including for example where the transducers are enzyme reactors and the analytes are body metabolites.

9. A method of rapidly sensing the occurrence of a chemical reaction in a fluid,
said method comprising, flowing said fluid to a first chemical reactor and then to a second chemical reactor and reciprocating said fluid in a flow path between said first and second chemical reactor, while sensing at a point in said flow path between said reactors the instantaneous rate of reaction occurring in said fluid.
