1. A circuit for producing an output current which is a linear function of an input voltage, including:

  • a voltage input node,a current output node,a source of bias voltage,a common voltage node,a first MOS transistor of a characteristic conductivity type having its gate connected to said input voltage node and its drain connected to said current output node,a second MOS transistor of the same characteristic conductivity type as said first MOS transistor, having its gate connected to said source of bias voltage, its drain connected to the source of said first MOS transistor and its source connected to said common voltage node, andmeans for maintaining said first MOS transistor in saturationsaid source of bias voltage having a magnitude less than the threshold voltage of said second MOS transistor.
