1. An AB-diblock copolymer represented by the following formula (I):

  • ##STR29## wherein R1 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms;

    R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms;

    R3 represents a benzyl group, ##STR30## (wherein R4 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms) or an alkyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms;

    M represents a group represented by the formula (M2)m (M1)n or (M1)m (M2)n, each of m and n being a natural number of 20 to 5000;

    M1 represents a (meth)acrylate residue represented by the formula;

    ##STR31## (wherein R5 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and R6 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms substituted with an alkoxy group or a hydroxyl group) or an aromatic vinyl residue represented by the formula;

    ##STR32## (wherein R7 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R8 represents a phenyl group or an alkylphenyl group) or a fatty acid vinyl ester residue represented by the formula;

    ##STR33## (wherein R9 represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms);

    M2 represents a fluorine-containing vinyl residue represented by the formulae (II) to (VI);

    ##STR34## wherein R10 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, a fluorine atom or a fluorine-substituted alkyl group having 1 to 16 carbon atoms, and R11 represents a fluorine-substituted alkyl group having 1 to 16 carbon atoms, ##STR35## wherein R10 and R11 have the same meanings as those in the formula (II), R12 represents an alkylene group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and R13 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, ##STR36## wherein R10, R11, R12, R13 have the same meanings as those in the formula (III), ##STR37## wherein R10 have the same meaning as that in the formula (IV), R14 is an alkylene group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a fluorine-substituted alkylene group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, R15 is an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a fluorine-substituted alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms;

    at least one of R10, R14 and R15 being required to contain fluorine, ##STR38## wherein R16, R17, R18, R19 each represent a hydrogen atom, a chlorine atom, a fluorine atom, a phenyl group, a substituted phenyl group, a fluorine-substituted alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, at least one of R16 to R19 being required to contain fluorine.
