1. A microwave antenna having a beamwidth and a bandwidth over a range of operating frequencies, comprising:

  • a horn radiator including a tubular radiating end portion having a longitudinal axis, and means for maximizing the beamwidth, including at least four open-ended cut-outs formed in said tubular radiating end portion, said cut-outs extending along the axis no more than about one-half wavelength at the highest operating frequency in said range.
