Abstract
The invention relates to a thermosetting composition which comprises at least one blocked polyisocyanate of formula I or II ##STR1## wherein n is an integer ≧2,
Q is an organic radical of valency n, and
R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8 are each independently of one another hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or hydroxyl, and
a primary or secondary polyamine which is liquid at room temperature and is suitable for crosslinking,
which blocked polyisocyanate is essentially insoluble in the polyamine at ambient temperature or moderately elevated temperature.
The novel compositions invention have a particularly high reactivity and good shelf stability. An important embodiment of the invention relates to those compositions in which the blocked isocyanate is essentially insoluble in the polyamine at the storage temperature. The novel compositions are especially suitable for bonding plastics materials and metals.
