    a plurality of spacing elements each having two opposed surfaces, each surface having a low sliding coefficient of friction;

    means provided on the spacing elements for co-acting with said guide means to allow movement relative thereto for varying the spacing between said two opposed surfaces of said adjacent spacing element members;

    said co-acting means being substantially unrestrained by said guide means in the direction of said movement;

    said spacing elements adjacent to one another when in a spaced apart relationship defining a storage zone for receiving and storing an article;
