1. A wheel speed correction device for use in a vehicle having a plurality of wheels and a wheel behavior control device, comprising:

  • means for measuring a wheel rotation angular speed of each wheel;

    means for correcting a coefficient representing a tire diameter for each wheel;

    means for calculating diameter-corrected wheel speeds for left and right wheels of the vehicle using the measured angular speed and the corrected coefficient;

    means for obtaining a turning correction amount from a difference between the diameter-corrected wheel speeds of the left and right wheels; and

    means for correcting the diameter-corrected wheel speed using the turning correction amount and for producing a turning-corrected wheel speed for each wheel, so that the turning-corrected wheel speed is provided as a wheel speed to be used in a control logic of the wheel behavior control device.
