1. A telephone interface for connecting a computer to a telephone line for use in telephone systems employing information signalling during the silent interval between rings comprising:

  • line interface means for interfacing the telephone interface with the telephone line,first computer interface means for interfacing the telephone interface with a computer, anddata demodulation means connected with the line interface means and with the first computer interface means for receiving data transmitted over the telephone line during a silent interval after a ringing signal,whereby in operation data present on the telephone line during the silent interval is retransmitted through the first computer interface means.
