- a. a helical coil having a multiplicity of windings and having a first end and a second end, a passageway between the first end and second end, and which is closed at least one of said helical coil first end and second end;
b. at least one fibrous woven tubular member extending coaxially about at least a portion of the helical coil and adhering to the helical coil at least one location on the coilwhere the device is of a size which may be introduced through the lumen of a vascular catheter.
