1. A biosensor with a selective detection system comprising a polymer and a biochemical substance wherein the detection system is produced in the following manner:

  • applying an olefinic-unsaturated, epoxyfunctional polyether to a carrier material in the form of a layer,cross-linking the polyether by means of high-energy radiation to form an epoxyfunctional polymer matrix,treating the layer with an aqueous solution of the biochemical substance, whereby the biochemical substance is immobilized in the polymer matrix by reaction with epoxy groups, andstabilizing the layer by reaction of non-reacted epoxy groups with a compound containing an amino group, a carboxyl group or an amino group and a carboxyl group,wherein the polyether has the following structure;

    ##STR12## where the following applies;

    ##STR13## where R3 =--(CH2)m --, with m=1 to 10R4 =H or CH3 ;

    R1 = ##STR14## with u=0 to 150, --(CH2)o --, with o=0 to 18, orCH2 --O--R5 --O--CH2 --,whereR5 =--(CH2)p --, ##STR15## with p=2 to 20, q=2 to 4, r=1 to 50,s=0 to 50, t=0 to 25,Ar= ##STR16## R2 =--(CH2 --CH═

    CH--CH2)n --, --R6 --, --R6 --O--CO--R7 --CO--O--R6 -- or ##STR17## where n=1 to 50, u=0 to 150,R6 has the same meaning as R5,except that ##STR18## are excluded, and R7 has the following meaning;

    ##STR19## with q=2 to 4, s=0 to 50, t=0 to 25,v=0 to 20, andAr has the meaning indicated above.
