Abstract

A liquid crystal display device which includes a shield casing made of a metal plate and having fixing pawls and fixing hooks, an middle frame for holding a liquid crystal display, and a lower casing for packaging back lights. The fixing pawls of said shield casing are bent in corresponding recesses formed in the middle frame. Also, the fixing hooks of said shield casing are fitted on corresponding projections formed on the lower casing.

Claims

1. A liquid crystal display device comprising:

a lower casing for packaging a lighting means;

a middle frame mounted on said lower casing and having an opening exposing said lighting means;

a liquid crystal display panel having a driving circuit and held by said middle frame;

a shield casing made of a metal plate, having fixing pawls and covering said liquid crystal display panel except for a display portion of said liquid crystal display panel; and

an optical diffusion board diffusing light of said lighting means;

wherein said fixing pawls are bent in recesses which are formed in said middle frame for fixing said shield casing and said middle frame, wherein said middle frame mounts therein said liquid crystal display panel and said optical diffusion board in superposition, and wherein said liquid crystal display panel and said optical diffusion board have a gap between them which is sealed up by a spacing means.

2. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 1,

wherein said shield casing has a fixing hooks separate from said fixing pawls, and said fixing hooks are fitted on projections which are so formed on said lower casing as to correspond to said fixing hooks.

3. A liquid crystal display device comprising:

a liquid crystal display panel having a driving circuit disposed around and connected with said liquid crystal display panel;

a shield casing made of a metal plate, having fixing pawls and covering said liquid crystal display panel and said driving circuit except for a display portion of said liquid crystal display panel;

a middle frame holding said liquid crystal display panel and said driving circuit, and having an opening exposing said display portion of said liquid crystal display panel;

a lower casing attached to said middle frame, packaging a lighting means lighting said display portion of said liquid crystal display panel through said opening of said middle frame;

wherein said fixing pawls are bent in the recesses which are formed in said middle frame for fixing said shield casing and said middle frame, and said driving circuit has a ground pad on at least one of a plurality of divisions of said driving circuit, wherein said shield casing has projections for electrically connecting to said ground pad.

4. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 3,

wherein said shield casing has fixing hooks separate from said fixing pawls, and said fixing hooks are fitted on projections which are so formed on said lower casing as to correspond to said fixing hooks.

5. A liquid crystal display device comprising:

a lower casing for packaging a lighting means;

a middle frame mounted on said lower casing and having an opening exposing said lighting means;

a liquid crystal display panel having a driving circuit and held by said middle frame;

a shield casing made of a metal plate, having fixing pawls and fixing hooks, and covering said liquid crystal display panel except for a display portion of said liquid crystal display panel;

wherein said fixing pawls are bent in a recesses which are formed in said middle frame for fixing said shield casing and said middle frame, said fixing hooks are fitted on projections which are so formed on said lower casing as to correspond to said fixing hooks, wherein said lower casing has a reflecting means reflecting the light of said lighting means toward said liquid crystal display panel, and said reflecting means and said lower casing are made of an integral member.

6. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 5,

wherein said lighting means comprises a plurality of juxtaposed fluorescent lamps having their sealed sides arranged alternately at the righthand and lefthand sides.

7. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 5,

wherein said lighting means comprises a light support for supporting a plurality of juxtaposed fluorescent lamps of said lighting means separate from said lower casing, and said light support being mounted on said lower casing.
