1. A coating remover composition which comprises:
- water and from about 5 to about 20 v/v % of a concentrate composition comprising;
(a) 5% to 40% by weight of dialkylalkanolamine;
(b) 2 to 25% by weight monoalkanolamine;
(c) 0.5 to 15% by weight nonionic surfactant;
(d) 0.1 to 10% by weight chelating agent;
(e) 0.5 to 20% by weight polyethylene glycol having a mole weight of 200-4000;
(f) 0.1 to 10% by weight anionic surfactant; and
(g) water.

The invention is a composition for providing a temporary coating to protect the surface of an article and a solvent free composition for rapidly removing the coating from the article. The invention also includes a method for protecting a surface of an article and a system for carrying out the process.
