Biologically active polymers
First Claim
1. A biologically active water-soluble polymer of the general formula (I)
whereinP represents a polymer component having an average molecular weight of 1,000 to 1,000,000 which is linear, branched or cross-linked, the monomer units for the polymer component being selected from the group consisting of acrylic, methacrylic, vinyl or styryl units or mixtures thereof, and wherein the monomer units optionally contain chelating agents or ionic or non-ionic water-solubilizing groups, andA is a biologically active moiety selected from the group consisting of biotin, digoxigenin, digoxin, digitoxigenin, digitoxin and oligonucleotides having 1 to 80 nucleotide units, andq is the number 1 or 2and wherein A and P are bonded by an amide, urea, ester, ether, or urethane group.
