1. A hologram comprising a polymeric substrate having a relief-patterned, image-forming surface coated with a light-reflecting composite mirror layer consisting of a mixture of a up to 20 weight percent of polymer and at least 80 weight percent of metal clusters having a nominal diameter less than 100 nanometers, wherein said metal clusters are agglomerated in a layer conforming to said relief-patterned, image-forming surface so that light reflects from said mirror in a holographic image.
