1. A vasoocclusive device adapted, sized, and configured for introduction into a vascular lumen consisting essentially of:
- a. a helical coil having a multiplicity of windings and having a first end and a second end, a passageway between the first end and second end, andb. at least one fibrous woven tubular member extending coaxially about at least a portion of the helical coil and adhering to the helical coil at least one location on the coilwhere the device is of a diameter which may be introduced through the lumen of a vascular catheter and of a diameter which is smaller than the diameter of the vascular lumen.
