1. A vehicle radar, provided on a vehicle, to calculate a relative distance and a relative speed between said vehicle and each of a plurality of target objects by transmitting forwardly a frequency modulated carrier wave and receiving the carrier wave reflected by each of said target objects, said vehicle radar comprising:

  • certainty level calculating means for calculating a certainty level, represented by probability of existence of said target objects, the certainty level being calculated based on a relationship between a current condition of detection of each of said target objects and a previous condition of detection of each of said target objects; and

    certainty level changing means for changing the certainty level of one of said target objects when a determination is made that said one of said target objects moves away from a lane in which said vehicle is moving so that said one of said target objects are excluded from targets to track.
