1. An oscillator circuit comprising:

  • a first transistor;

    a second transistor coupled to the emitter of the first transistor;

    the first and second transistors being operatively coupled to a supply voltage; and

    a positive feedback means comprising a parallel LC circuit coupled to the collector of the first transistor, the LC circuit having a resonant frequency, and wherein a capacitance of the parallel LC segment includes at least two capacitors in series forming a capacitive divider which provides a low impedance feedback via the base of the second transistor into the emitter of the first transistor, and further wherein an inductance of the LC circuit comprises an antenna coil; and

    wherein an output signal appears across the antenna coil having a frequency substantially equal to the resonant frequency and having an amplitude that is as high as a factor of 20 times the supply voltage while maintaining a high Q, low distortion output; and

    furtherwherein an output clock signal may be extracted from the collector of the first transistor, the output clock signal having an amplitude that is less than the amplitude of the output signal by a prescribed amount.
