1. A piston assembly of a fluid pump mechanism comprising:

  • a convex member having a central shaft and a convex upper surface, such convex upper surface being defined by a plurality of splines which extend outward from the central shaft for a predefined distance; and

    a concave member having a collar a concave upper surface and a passage extending through the concave member, such concave upper surface being defined by a plurality of ribs which extend inwardly from the collar and terminate at a predefined location which defines the passage, wherein in an operational state the central shaft is movably received within the passage and the plurality of splines are movable interposed between the plurality of ribs.
