1. A device for holding an article comprising:
- an external frame member defining a chamber and having an opening at one end thereof; and
a resilient holding member mounted within the chamber and capable of holding an article which has been introduced into the chamber, said resilient holding member having a generally X-shaped configuration with a slit formed in the central area thereof such that the resilient holding member itself can be readily, resiliently deformed, andsaid resilient holding member being mounted on the external frame member of the chamber such that the article is held by the resilient holding member in a desired position at a central portion of the chamber.

Abstract
The device for holding an article according to the present invention comprises an external frame member defining a chamber and having an opening at one end thereof, and a resilient holding member mounted within the chamber and capable of holding an article which has been introduced into the chamber. The resilient holding member is mounted on the external frame member of the chamber such that the article is held by the resilient holding member in a desired position at a central portion of the chamber.
