    m and which improves the impact resistance of the plastic lens, which primer layer comprises a thermosetting polyurethane on the surface of a plastic lens substrate;

    subsequently providing a hard coat layer comprising a silicone resin on the surface of said primer layer; and

    then providing a single-layer or multi-layer anti-reflection coating on the surface of said hard coat layer by depositing an inorganic material,wherein said primer layer which comprises a thermosetting polyurethane is provided by the steps of coating said plastic lens substrate with a primer coating composition comprising a blocked polyisocyanate and a polyester polyol, and then curing the coated composition by heating.
