1. A device for adaption of tolerances in the measurement of angular segment lengths of a segmented transmitter wheel, comprising a transducer aligned with regard to the transmitter wheel so that at each segment limit it outputs a measurement signal;

  • one respective segment length calculation device provided at least for each segment but one and determining a segment length of the associated segment from two successive measurement signals to output a corresponding segment length value;

    one respective averaging device provided for each segment and averaging the segment length values for the associated segment out to an adaptation value;

    a speed determining device, each of the averaging devices having at least two averaging sub-devices each associated with a speed range; and

    a speed selector provided for each segment and operating so that each averaging sub-device only receives a kind of segment length values which apply to the speed range associated with it.
