Abstract
A toner for developing electrostatic images is constituted by toner particles comprising a binder resin and a colorant. The toner is characterized by having (i) a particle size distribution including a weight-average particle size D4 of X μm and Y% by number of toner particles having a particle size of at most 3.17 μm satisfying the following conditions (1) and (2):
-5X+35≦Y≦-25X+180 (1)
3.5≦X≦6.5 (2),
(ii) at least one heat absorption peak in a temperature region of at most 110° C. as measured by differential thermal analysis, and (iii) a tap void of 0.45-0.70. The toner is effective for obviating the sleeve ghost phenomenon.
