- a trigger-like selection button located on a bottom portion of the remote control device such that the button is convenient to the index finger of a hand for selecting functions associated with a cursor on the screen when the device is held in the hand;
a pointing device for controlling the cursor displayed on the entertainment system; and
electromagnetic frequency generating circuitry coupled to a plurality of keys on a top portion of the device for transmitting signals representative of the keys, the button and pointing device.

a top portion having a plurality of keys disposed thereon for selecting alphanumeric symbols and cursor control functions; a trigger-like selection button located on a bottom portion of the remote control device such that the button is convenient to the index finger of a hand for selecting functions associated with a cursor on the screen when the device is held in the hand; a pointing device for controlling the cursor displayed on the entertainment system; and electromagnetic frequency generating circuitry coupled to the plurality of keys for transmitting signals representative of the selected keys, the button and the pointing device, wherein one of the plurality of keys transmits a remap signal that activates the software.
