Abstract
An aluminosilicate glass having a composition comprising, as calculated in weight percent on an oxide basis, of 40-57% SiO2, 2.0-11% Al2 O3, 1-16% CaO, 8-21.5% SrO, 14-31.5% BaO, 0-3% MgO, and 0-4% B2 O3, the glass having a temperature not over 1450° C. at a viscosity of 20 MPa·s (200 poises), a CTE of 60-90×10-7 /° C. and a strain point over 630° C.
