An electric lamp which exhibits a pink color when energized and which comprises a light transmissive envelope enclosing an electric light source and having a pink coating on a surface of said envelope, said coating containing a chrome tin pink inorganic pigment and a red iron oxide pigment, said coating being free of cadmium and selenium.
