A light-emitting material of the following general formula 3! for an organic electroluminescence device, ##STR103## wherein each of R1 to R8 and R29 to R48 is independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group or a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, and each of X1 to X4 is independently O, S, C═
- O, SO2, (CH2)x --O--(CH2)y, a substituted or unsubstituted alkylene group or a substituted or unsubstituted alicyclic residue, provided that each of x and y is independently an integer of 0 to 20 and that in no case x+y=0, provided that adjacent substituents of R1 to R4 or R5 to R8 may form an aryl ring.
