1. A method of measuring an electrical characteristic of a fluid, comprising the steps of:
- providing a quantity of resin beads holding charged groups, the beads each being in a known state;
exposing the beads to a fluid;
allowing a size of the beads to change upon exposure to the fluid, a change in the size of the beads moving a spring loaded member; and
measuring a position of the member.

7. A fluid sensor comprising:
-
an enclosure having at least one opening for admitting a fluid into its interior; a quantity of resin beads inside the enclosure, the enclosure having a spring loaded member in contact with the beads, whereby exposure to the fluid changes a size of the beads, moving the member; and a mechanism coupled to the member and which measures a position of the member. - View Dependent Claims (8)
