1. A biomedical lead conductor body of the type comprising:

  • a first coiled wire conductor formed of a first electrical wire having a predetermined wire diameter and wound into a first coil extending between proximal and distal first wire ends; and

a first insulative sheath formed in a coil and having a first coiled insulative sheath lumen having a diameter exceeding the predetermined wire diameter of said first coiled wire conductor, loosely receiving said first coiled wire conductor therein, for electrically insulating coil turns of said first coiled wire conductor whereby any corrosion occurring from a defect in the first insulative sheath may extend over a portion of a wire surface beyond a first portion of the wire surface adjacent to the defect.
