1. A vehicular audio/cellular telephone system comprising:
- a cellular telephone including a first antennae, a first power supply, a first speaker assembly, a microphone, a keypad, a transceiver for processing transmitted and received rf signals, and a first set of electrical contacts for receiving and transmitting signals to and from an audio system; and
an audio system including a second antennae for receiving rf signals, a second power supply, a receiver for processing received rf signals, a telephone cradle and a second set of electrical contacts for receiving and transmitting signals to and from said cellular telephone;
said telephone cradle configured to affix said cellular telephone including antennae, transceiver, first power supply, first speaker assembly, keypad, microphone, and first set of electrical contacts, to said audio system so as to permit said first set of electrical contacts to engage second set of electrical contacts; and
said cellular telephone capable of being detachably mounted to said telephone cradle of said audio system to permit the use of said cellular telephone at a location distant from said audio system.

Abstract
The present invention is a vehicular audio/cellular telephone system including a vehicular audio system and cellular telephone. In a first embodiment, the vehicular audio system including an AM/FM radio, cassette player, CD player, or combinations of these, integrates a detachable cellular telephone including a transceiver, rechargeable battery, and small non-directional antenna. When integrated into the vehicular audio system, the cellular telephone uses the vehicle'"'"'s power source and external antenna.
