Abstract

A kit for forming a court upon a generally planar playing surface. In a first embodiment, the kit comprises a plurality of pieces of tapes adhesively attachable to the playing surface wherein each tape of the plurality of tape is sized and configured to correspond with and represent a specific boundary of the court. In an alternative embodiment, the kit comprises a court overlay formed from a unitary piece of tape that may be spread out about the playing surface and adhesively attached thereto to thus form a given court. The tape utilized to form the court according to the present invention may be selected to have a desired adhesive property, texture, or reflective property.

Claims

1. A tape kit for forming a basketball court about a basketball hoop and backboard upon a planar surface comprising a multiplicity of elongate and arcuate tape pieces that are designed and configured to be adhesively attached to said planar surface, said multiplicity of tape pieces being designed and adapted to be arranged in the configuration of said basketball court such that said multiplicity of tape pieces correspond and represent the sidelines, endlines, keys, centerline, center circle, and restricting circle of said basketball court when said multiplicity of tape pieces are adhesively attached to said planar surface.

2. The tape kit of claim 1 wherein said multiplicity of tape pieces further correspond and represent the three-point shot line of said basketball court when said multiplicity of tape pieces are adhesively attached to said planar surfaces.

3. A tape kit for forming a street hockey rink about a street hockey goal upon a planar surface comprising a multiplicity of elongate and arcuate tape pieces that are designed and configured to be adhesively attached to said planar surface, said multiplicity of tape pieces being designed and adapted to be arranged in the configuration of said street hockey rink such that said multiplicity of tape pieces correspond and represent the goal lines, goal creases, face-off circles, blue lines, centerline, and center face-off circle of said street hockey rink when said multiplicity of tape pieces are adhesively attached to said planar surface.
