1. An aortic occlusion catheter, comprising:

  • a shaft having a first lumen; and

    means for occluding a patient'"'"'s ascending aorta between the coronary ostia movable from an expanded shape to a collapsed shape, the occluding means also being shaped such that it can be seated across the opening to the brachiocephalic artery while permitting blood flow into the brachiocephalic artery;

    the first lumen having an outlet positioned distal to the occluding means and having a size sufficient to deliver cardioplegic fluid to the patient'"'"'s heart at a rate sufficient to arrest the patient'"'"'s heart.
