1. An interference color filter comprising:

  • a first at least partially reflective and partially transparent layer;

    an evaporated, condensed and crosslinked transparent acrylate layer on the at least partially reflective layer having a molecular weight to acrylate group ratio in the range of from 150 to 400, the acrylate layer having a thickness sufficient for producing an interference color; and

    a second at least partially reflective layer on the opposite face of the acrylate layer from the first reflective layer; and

    wherein the filter is broken up to form colored pigment flakes.
