1. A method for puncturing a site on an internal body organ with an instrument having a tubular body with a proximal end and a distal end, a sealing portion proximate the distal end for sealing at least a portion of the tubular body, and a resilient parasol portion extending from the distal end, the method comprising:

  • inserting the distal end of the tubular body including the parasol portion into a body cavity containing the organ;

    advancing the parasol portion within the body cavity to the site;

    supplying an adhesive onto one of the site and the parasol portion;

    adhering the parasol portion to the site with the adhesive; and

    puncturing the site by inserting a needle body through the sealing portion of the tubular body and through the site.
