1. A sensor for implanting in the body of a patient comprising a biocompatible electroconductive case, a voltage source, a measuring electrode, and a reference electrode;

  • the case, the voltage source, the measuring electrode and the reference electrode being associated in an electrical circuit in which the case functions as an auxiliary electrode, wherein the measuring electrode includes an enzyme-containing membrane having a semi-interpenetrating polymer network of fibrillated polytetrafluoroethylene and a silicon compound, wherein the network is infiltrated with an enzyme.
