1. An intrusion detection system comprising:
- a container which encloses electrical equipment;
a door connected to said container for allowing access to said electrical equipment;
a gasket located between the door and the container which reduces the ingress and egress of electromagnetic radiation into and from said container, said gasket having an associated resistance value; and
,a circuit for monitoring the resistance value of said gasket to determine if the door has become at least partially separated from the container.
