1. A method for applying a solid particulate hemostatic agent to living tissue, comprising the steps of:

  • a) combining a turbulent continuous gas stream with a solid particulate hemostatic agent to form a finely dispersed fluid stream of said solid particulate hemostatic agent in said gas; and

    b) directing the finely dispersed fluid stream through an outlet conduit having a substantially constant internal diameter, whereby said fluid stream is conducted through the outlet conduit and onto proximate living tissue, thereby applying the solid particulate hemostatic agent to the living tissue.
