1. An electronic system for managing resources required for medical treatments, wherein a recommended treatment is recommended by the electronic system and a care giver proposes a proposed treatment, the system comprising:

  • an input device that receives the proposed treatment from a user;

    an input device that receives resources required for the proposed treatment;

    a resource display that displays for the user one or more medical resources required to implement a recommended treatment so that the required resources can be readily compared to those required for the proposed treatment;

    a treatment comparator that compares the resources required for the proposed treatment with the resources required for a recommended treatment, and notifies the user that the proposed treatment requires resources that vary from those required for the recommended treatment;

    an final-recommendation-for-treatment input device that receives from the user a final recommendation for a treatment identified by a care giver.
