1. In a network of cellular communication systems in which a multiplicity of subscriber-provided radiotelephones communicate over a wide area through a plurality of cellsites that share common communication channels, a method of providing telecommunication services within a vehicle, said vehicle operating in a moving mode and in a non-moving mode, and said method comprising the steps of:

  • establishing one of said cellsites inside said vehicle;

    coupling said one cellsite to a public switched telecommunication network (PSTN) through a radio communication link; and

    setting up a call with one of said subscriber-provided radiotelephones residing inside said vehicle, said call being set up through said one cellsite and said radio communication link;

    whereinsaid setting up a call step occurs when said vehicle is in said moving mode; and

    said setting up a call step does not occur when said vehicle is in said non-moving mode.
