1. A instrument for measuring arrow velocity and arrow position, said instrument comprising:

  • a) a magnetic sensor for detecting and communicating data pertaining to arrow velocity and arrow position, andb) a inexpensive magnetic trigger mechanism attached directly to a arrow shaft, andc) a electronics assembly for receiving, processing, and displaying said data, andd) a interconnect to place said sensor in comniunication with said electronics assembly, ande) a mounting bracket for holding said sensor to a bow, andf) a housing for holding said electronics assembly to said bow,whereby an archer can use said instrument to determine arrow velocity or data indicative of arrow position at either a stationary or moving target, and whereby said data can be used to detect or improve archery tackle performance.
