    a receiver for receiving symbols of the symbol sequence via the communication network, the receiver comprising a speech decoder;

    wherein the communication network comprises means for deleting a part of the symbol sequence representing some of the prediction parameters, and the decoder is arranged for reconstructing a speech signal from a remaining part of the symbol sequence.
