1. A method for routing incoming calls on a POTS telephone line to an individual'"'"'s premises comprising:

  • detecting an incoming call on said POTS telephone line;

    ringing (i) at least one local extension on said individual'"'"'s premises, and (ii) at least one remote extension, upon detecting said incoming call;

    maintaining control of said incoming call to allow further routing when either said at least one local extension, or said at least one remote extension, goes off-hook; and

    routing said incoming call to another local or remote extension upon detection of a predetermined code on said at least one local extension after said at least one local extension goes off-hook.
