1. A power supply apparatus comprising:

  • a switching means for relaying electrical current to be supplied to a transformer and a digital signal processor (DSP) means for controlling an operation of said switching means, wherein said DSP means memorizes a plurality of pulse patterns for controlling an operation of said switching means continuously or intermittently and wherein said DSP selects a suitable pulse pattern for driving said switching means from the memorized patterns in accordance with an amount of load current and wherein the switching means is driven in accordance with the thus selected pulse pattern.
