An apparatus for monitoring air borne hazardous materials at more than one location and for comparing information from different locations, comprisinga plurality of monitoring stations located around the perimeter of a site for monitoring air borne hazardous materials, each said monitoring station havinga gas detector for analyzing an air sample to detect volatile organic compounds,a dust detector for detecting air borne particulate matter, anda data communications device coupled to the gas detector and to the dust detector and being capable of transmitting data signals over a data network, anda data processor in communication with each said data communications device, for controlling the monitoring stations and comparing the information received from the monitoring stations.
