1. In a wireless communication system, a method of operating an adaptive antenna array at a first station comprising the steps of:

  • uniquely beamforming and simultaneously transmitting first and second individually identifiable outbound signals for reception by a second station;

    receiving inbound signals from the second station;

    variable beamforming the second individually identifiable outbound signal in response to said step of receiving, wherein said variable beamforming varies the beamform of the second individually identifiable outbound signal substantially independently of an inbound beamform.
