1. A carrier patch for the delivery of agents to the skin of a user, the patch comprising:

  • a pad having a surface area for adhering to the skin, the pad having a lower surface area, an adhesive adhered to the lower surface area of the pad, the adhesive having a lower surface area; and

    a primary agent for delivery to the skin, the primary agent having been applied on the adhesive lower surface area at discrete locations, and the agent being retained on the lower surface area of the adhesive, and the adhesive not requiring a subsequent treatment which treatment is deleterious to the efficacy of the primary agent, the primary agent being in direct contact with the skin when the patch is worn by the user, thereby to effect delivery of the primary agent to the skin.
