a second arterial cannula portion having a distal portion and an opening in the distal portion, the second cannula portion configured for insertion into the subclavian artery so the opening in the distal portion is in communication with the aorta, and a lumen in fluid communication with, and receiving, the outlet of the extracorporeal pump and extending through the second cannula portion in communication with the opening for passage of blood from the extracorporeal pump to the aorta.
