1. A photoconductor for electrophotography comprising:

  • an electrically conductive substrate;

    a photosensitive layer on said electrically conductive substrate;

    said photosensitive layer having a charge generation agent and a charge transport agent;

    said charge transport agent including an electron transport compound described by the following general formula (I);

    wherein R1 and R2 are each independently selected from the group consisting of a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, an arylalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a residue forming a ring;

    A1 is an oxygen atom or CR3R4;

    said R3 and said R4 are each independently selected from the group consisting of a cyano group and an alkoxycarbonyl group; and

    m is an integer from 0 to 4; and

    n is an integer from 0 to 5.
