1. A method of detecting when an advertisement, displayed in a browser window, is actually viewable by a user, the method of comprising the steps of:

  • detecting when a predefined amount of the advertisement has been viewable by a user for a predefined time interval; and

    recording, in response to the detecting step, an identification of the advertisement, and the predefined time interval.
